Doyline man arrested for possession with intent
Doyline, La. -- Feb 1, 2010 --

Webster Parish Community Action Directed Patrol deputies Wade Wells and Bobby Igo, III made a traffic stop Friday night that went from common to criminal when more than 30 illegally possessed legend pills were discovered.

Stephen M. Fant, 54, of Doyline was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a CDS Schedule IV drug (Soma) and failure to use a turn signal.

The officers stopped Fant for a common traffic violation when he made an un-signaled turn onto Bistineau Terrace. It was Fant’s oddly nervous behavior that led officers to suspicion; and when questions were asked, Fant admitted to having in his possession an envelope of pills.

Officers located the drugs and counted 32 white round tablets that Fant had identified as Soma. Along with the drugs was a small amount of cash. Deputies seized both the drugs and cash and transported Fant to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center for booking.
