Webster Parish Sheriff’s narcotics investigators launched a joint-agency roundup in Springhill Wednesday morning that resulted in the arrest of six Webster residents for their illegal dealings of prescription medications.

Lt. Shawn Baker and Sgt. Barry James, the Webster narcotics officers who headed the operation cleverly named “Operation Painkiller”, were joined by a number of Webster deputies, CAD Patrol deputies and officers from the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole’s local office. The enforcement team set out early with nearly a dozen suspects in mind to bring in.

“We’ve worked these narcotics buys on several folks who are selling painkillers and other drugs,” explained Baker just before the event began. “Today’s the day we’ll bring them in.”

It was this level of hope and confidence that led the team’s efforts and resulted in a successful operation and the arrest of six of the wanted men and women.

Wallace Reed Hammontree, Jr., 55, of Church Street in Springhill was arrested on charges for distribution of three controlled dangerous substances Schedule II, III and IV including Oxycotin, Lortab and Soma.

Carl Ray Bradley, 29, of NE 6th Street in Springhill was arrested on charges for distribution of a CDS Schedule I, marijuana.

Clifton Brady Lindsey, 29, of Maple Street in Springhill was arrested on numerous charges including two counts for distribution of a CDS Schedule I, two counts for distribution of a CDS Schedule II, and one count for distribution of a CDS Schedule III, including marijuana, Lortab, crack cocaine and other suspected substances.

Donna Beason Dillon, 45, of NW 6th Street in Springhill was arrested on charges for distribution of a CDS Schedule II and III, including Ritalin and Lortab.

Bryan Lester Coile, 24, of Hwy. 2 in Sarepta was arrested on one count of distribution of a CDS Schedule III.

Virginia Crockett, 44, of SW 7th Street in Springhill was arrested on one count of distribution of a CDS Schedule II.

“We are very pleased with the results today,” said Webster Sheriff’s Major Steve Cropper, supervisor over the narcotics division. “All officers involved made it home safe; and a large collective number of narcotics dealers were put out of business.”

Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton also stated his contentment of the results of the operation and extended his gratitude to the agents who assisted in today’s roundup.

All individuals arrested in today’s operation were transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center for booking, and evidence seized during the searches have been sent to the North Louisiana Criminalistics Laboratory for testing.
