The Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office announces the retirement of Deputy Sammy Citrano after fifteen years of loyal service.
Citrano retires as a Work Crew Supervisor and Corrections Officer from the Sheriff’s Corrections Department at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
His supervisor and acting Warden John Lewis stated that Citrano’s presence within the department will be missed. “He is a great guy,” he said. “He is always such a positive person to be around and we’ll greatly miss him.”
Citrano joined the Corrections Department after twelve years as a dispatcher for the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies celebrated Citrano’s service to the Department on Friday during a gathering where he was presented by Sheriff Gary Sexton a commemorative plaque, certificate of appreciation and a keepsake watch.
“He has always been a very loyal and dedicated employee,” said Sexton. “I truly appreciate the job he has done for us and smiles he has always brought to everyone’s faces in this Department. We wish him the best in retirement.”
