-United States Marshals requested assistance during hunt for fugitive
Springhill, La. -- Oct 7, 2009 --

An early morning search in Springhill for a fugitive of the United States Marshals led to reports of shots being fired.

Webster Parish Sheriff’s Community Action Directive Patrol deputies who were requested by the United States Marshal’s Service to assist them in the apprehension of a narcotics fugitive were on scene when Webster Sheriff’s headquarters received a report of shots fired.

While Webster deputies did not discharge any weapons, nor were any injuries reported, Sheriff’s investigators have responded to the scene to gather more information about the situation. US Marshals reportedly do have the subject now in custody.
