Two young girls fall victim to alleged predator
- Sheriff’s investigators charge Doyline man
Doyline, La. --
Aug 21, 2009 --

CURTIS DALE LOLLEY
Webster Parish Sheriff’s detectives conducted a thorough investigation following reports from the mothers of two eleven-year-old girls indicating that their daughters had been exposed to sexual indecency by an adult male. The investigation and subsequent search of the man’s Doyline residence led to the arrest of 54-year-old Curtis Dale Lolley of College Street.
What investigators found was quite disturbing, according to the Criminal Investigation Division’s Major Steve Cropper. “What we learned from interviews with the girls indicated enough to obtain a search warrant of the man’s home,” he explained. “And what we found in his home was very unsettling.”
A large collection of pornographic materials, adult novelty items, video tapes and other evidence confiscated from the residence by investigators matched specific descriptions previously provided by the victims during interviews conducted by the Pinehill Advocacy Center in Ruston.
Detective Teresa Rogers helped lead the investigation as the Sheriff’s domestic officer along with Sergeant Barry James and Captain Jay Hortman, with assistance from Doyline Police Chief Robert Hayden. “The young girls had knowledge of things in this man’s home that they should know nothing about,” said Rogers. “We have reason to believe that this was not an isolated incident, unfortunately.”
Lolley, a formerly registered sex offender, was released from his obligation to report as a sex offender in 2007 when his ten-year probationary period was lifted. Investigators believe that the new charges placed against him may result in a life-long requirement for him to regularly report to local law enforcement.
On Tuesday morning Lolley was taken into custody by the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Department and charged with two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile under the age of twelve and was issued a bond of $100,000.00.
After investigators went through various items seized from the man’s home it was discovered that the video tapes collected at the scene contained a number of videos of the victims. Another search of the home led to the discovery of several hidden cameras that were used to record the secret footage.
“Other evidence we collected leads us to believe that there may be additional adolescent victims,” said Detective Captain Jay Hortman. “We hope that anyone with information in this would come forward.”
On Thursday afternoon additional charges were filed against Lolley. He was again booked at BDCC on 28 counts of video voyeurism with an additional bond amount of $280,000.00. Lolley is held at the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center on bonds that total $380,000.00.
Further investigation is underway and detectives hope that an upcoming forensic search of Lolley’s computer will be able to determine if additional crimes have been committed.
“It would be an awful thing to discover that the material had been shared,” said Hortman. “We all feel confident that the search of the computer will provide us with the information we need to conclude whether or not that’s happened.”
Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton is pleased that the arrest was made, but troubled for the victims. “I don’t have tolerance for sexual predators,” he said. “In my opinion there is no place for them in Webster Parish. This office will do everything we can to protect our children and remove predators like this one from our communities.”
The Webster Parish Sheriff’s Department encourages anyone who may have information involving this case or other potential victims to call investigators immediately at 318-377-1515.
