New arrest completes recent drug sting
Minden, La. -- Jul 9, 2009 --

JASON D. HARRIS

A joint agency narcotics operation held June 24, 2009 ended with nineteen arrested on various charges for illegal possession and/or distribution of narcotic substances like marijuana, cocaine and prescription medications. The following days produced six additional arrests when the fugitives turned themselves in.

On Monday, Webster Parish Sheriff’s deputies booked another man wanted during the sting operation into the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. Jason Dominoque Harris, 26, of Minden was at-large for two weeks, but arrived at the Minden Police Department on Monday to turn himself in.

According to Minden Police Department’s Lt. Marvin Garrett, Harris turned himself in because he knew there were outstanding warrants on him issued by the Sheriff’s Department.

Harris was booked and charged on three counts of distribution of a CDS Schedule I (marijuana) and one count of distribution of a CDS Schedule II (crack cocaine), and held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center on a $75,000.00 bond.
