Wednesday morning’s joint narcotics clean-up ended with impressive results, with sixteen of twenty-four warrants served and a total of nineteen arrests made by Webster Parish Sheriff’s deputies and Minden Police officers. The next day, too, proved quite impressive when three individuals at separate times came to law enforcement officials to turn themselves in following publicity of the sting operation.

Walter O’neal Germany, 26, of Heflin appeared at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center Thursday morning to turn himself in on active, outstanding warrants. He was arrested on one charge of distribution of a CDS Schedule I narcotic (marijuana) on a $15,000.00 bond.

Kenny Wayne Lee, Jr., 19, of Minden arrived at the Minden Police Department Thursday morning and turned himself in to officers. He was taken into custody as a fugitive of the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Department and is held on a total amount of $55,000.00 in bonds.

Jeremy Mitchell, 22, of Minden arrived at the Webster Parish Courthouse on Thursday to turn himself in. He was arrested on charges of criminal conspiracy to distribution of a CDS Schedule I narcotic (marijuana).

“It’s not everyday that wanted men come turn themselves in,” said Sheriff Gary Sexton. “But it’s good that they did. It makes it easier and safer for everyone that way.”

In addition to those who surrendered to law enforcement officials, two more were arrested on Thursday.

Dominic Washington, aka “Pee-Wee”, 18, of Minden was placed under arrest on two additional outstanding charges of distribution of a CDS Schedule II narcotic (crack cocaine) while incarcerated at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.

Qualane Quentin Dobbins, aka “Q”, 32, of Minden was taken into custody by Minden Police officers after being spotted on Shreveport Road. Officers were aware of outstanding warrants through the Sheriff’s Department, and following a traffic stop he was placed under arrest without incident on one charge of distribution of a CDS Schedule II narcotic (crack cocaine).

All individuals were transported without incident to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center for booking.

In an unrelated occurrence, a Minden man wanted for distribution of powder cocaine was arrested by Bossier City Police earlier this month. William Mayfield, 41, was transported from the Bossier City jail to the Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center and held on two outstanding charges of distribution of a CDS Schedule II narcotic.

According to Webster Sheriff’s Sgt. Det. Shawn Baker, Mayfield had been a fugitive of Webster Parish for some time.

“We’ve been looking for him for a long while on some heavy dealing,” Baker said. “I’m glad he’s in custody; and I’m very happy with the results of our investigation and joint-efforts. I expect even more to come from it all. It’s a great way to end the week.”
