Webster deputies arrest two on felony narcotics charges

Earlier today, law enforcement officers from the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Department arrested two individuals who were taken into custody following an automobile accident and a subsequent search.
Webster Parish investigator Sgt. Shawn Baker was assisting deputies on the scene of the accident on Middle Road in Minden when he observed the unusual behavior of both the driver and passenger and noticed a set of digital scales in the vehicle.
“Their behavior indicated that they may have been under the influence of narcotics,” explained narcotics officer Sgt. Shawn Baker. “Then I saw the scales laying there.”
A search of the driver’s residence ultimately followed and officers discovered marijuana, illegally obtained prescription narcotics, paraphernalia and guns inside the home.
Matthew Ryan Lewis, 22, of Dubberly was arrested and charged with possession of CDS marijuana, possession of a CDS schedule IV narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Cassie Guillory, 22, of Doyline was arrested and charged with possession of CDS marijuana, possession of a CDS schedule IV narcotic, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both individuals were taken into custody, transported and booked into Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center without incident.
