2011 brought great things and big changes to the Webster Parish Sheriff's Office...and we look for 2012 to be even better!
So what does that mean for you?
1) Safer communities: We have teamed up with both the Minden and Springhill Police Departments for a stronger, more efficient and effective parish-wide narcotics task force;
2) A more efficient Sheriff's Office: We have restructured our criminal investigation departments to provide for better efficiency and cross training;
3) Increased fiscal responsibility: Because the restructuring will increase our internal efficiency, we expect to decrease duplication of effort--which will ultimately improve our bottom line.
Additionally, I believe that it takes more than just enforcing laws to create a sense of safety in our communities. Community safety includes each of us, our neighborhoods, private and nonprofit businesses and organizations, and safety partners, all working together toward a safer Webster Parish.
As 2012 begins, please give some thought to how you can have a positive impact on your community. Seek ways to volunteer, provide a community service, or simply develop some habits to keep yourself and others around you safe.
