Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Facility & Webster Parish Jail
Medical Services
- Provide medical, dental and mental care services
- Perform medical screenings and histories
- Administer medications
- Coordinate sick call
- Respond to medical or mental emergencies
- Coordinate transportation of inmates to outside facilities as needed for additional care
Work Release Program
- Rehabilitation opportunity for inmates to be incorporated back into the workforce and begin saving for reentry to society
- Review requests and submit those approved to DOC for approval
- Ensure that submitted inmates meet criteria for program
- Monitor and manage work progress through release data
Community Services
- Ensure sentences fall within legal guidelines
- Supervise and log inmate participation
- Oversee inmate activity during assignments
- Report inmate status in assignments
- Coordinate with outside agencies, local organizations and/or nonprofits to identify community needs for potential assignments
